Mike was having some trouble with Geocities where he
had the free Gauge face templates posted
because of too many hits, so I offered to post them
in here because I felt he did a wonderful job on them.
I have done a little editing and also posted some
gauge face templates I have and also the instructions.
Note:
Michael lives in the United Kingdom, so he doesn't
wish to sell these or make them up for you. I personally do
not wish to do so either however in order to help
you guys out who do not have a photo quality printer, I will print
them out and send them to you for a $20 fee to cover
my printing ink, photo paper large envelope, postage and time.
Mind you this is to help you out so if you have a
photo quality printer, please print them out yourself or if you
have a friend close by who can do it for you, take
that route.
Note: To download any file in it's correct
size below use the word "HERE" following the directions below
In IE, right Click
the word "HERE", chose "Save
Target as" to download the full size Images
In Netscape right
click the word "HERE", and chose "Save
Link as"
Clicking the photo and saving
it will only give you that thumbnail image and it is not large enough.
That said here is his view of the finished Gauges in his car along with verbage from him.
Before downloading be sure that you don't print the
faces from
your browser as they are only example thumbnails
The main files can be downloaded from the links following
the photos
The reason I did this
was that I have had been looking for white faces
that looked good and went up to 200mph with a rev
face that went up to 10,000 RPM
The best way I could think of doing this
was making them myself, so i did
Since I did, I thought I would share them with you
The best way of using these faces is to
use the backing templates that I made for them
The backing templates hide shadows and make it look
like the photo below when lit
The backing templates were designed for the white faces
If you have a good enough printer I don't think you
would need them on the black ones.
I haven't tested the black ones yet so any feed back
on them would be great.
So what are ya waiting for!
Get to them faces! ;)
All faces on this web site
are copy right M pro 08/18/01
These faces are given free,
and must not be sold unless I have given my permission.
or you pay me lots of money!

My Gauge Face File
In IE, right Click
Image, chose "Save Target as" to download
the full size Image, (almost 2 megs)
In Netscape right
click image and chose "Save Link as"
The file name you want to download
is whitefaced.jpg. The one above is whitefaced-tn.jpg for "Thumbnail"
You do not want to print the
thumbnail. It is no way large enough and streching it out will look real
bad.
Just clicking the image will
display it in your browser and it's huge, so you don't want to download
it twice.
print at 10.25 inches on printer in Landscape Mode
Add your touches before you print if you wish, but
just notice the Gauge faces are tilted so you have
to rotate the photo about 2° before placing anything
on the gauge face or it will not be straight.
Rotate it back when done before saving.
My own creation from the above file that I have installed
on my Stealth.
Note the fuel Gauge has JRC
typed
on it.
Just and idea of what you can do to personalize yours.
